My Story
A lifelong thespian, I got my start as the much sought-after role of sheep #3 in her church’s annual nativity scene. I quickly became a sought-after young starlet. From church to the school choir, the fall musical, and the spring play; my quirky reactions and booming belt became my trademark in suburban Minnesota.
Soon it came time to seek a higher level of training. I went to the College of Saint Benedict, where I stole the hearts of many, as “OMG, you’re that girl from the opera!” I was Madame Peep in Oedipus Tex, embodied the spirit of Ethel Merman in Annie Get Your Gun, and stood up for Divas everywhere as the Lady of The Lake, in Spamalot.
But between learning to sing in four new languages, Latin, German, French, and Italian, perfecting my stage makeup beard, and endless renditions of Defying Gravity, she discovered another love, teaching.
Soon I left the snow-covered grounds of Minnesota, for the Windy City, where I began to teach youngsters to read and enjoy worlds built of words. But still, the Great Lakes weren’t Great enough for this larger-than-life character. It was time to pack her bags for the big apple. Graduate school in NYC was the perfect mix of work and play. I spent my days teaching and my evenings playing in the world of musical theater. I took classes at Broadway Dance Center, voice Lessons with Musical Master Class, led shows of nuns, rebels, and gang members, and brought down the house with her ode to the Divas.

But telling stories on stage wasn't enough for me. Oh no, I just have too many to tell! The story of Noodles A. Girl came from the loud meows of my wonderful chunk of a cat. She yelled at me so often that one day I decided she and I shared the same dream: to become an icon of the stage! Thus Noodles A. Girl: Star on the Rise was born.

Now I am taking the stage to pay tribute to the original icon and fellow Minnesotan, Judy Garland. Wowing audiences from the east coast to the Mississippi River, this show is a love letter to Judy, her life, and the delight in being exactly who you are.
